How I prepped for my first day of school
Hey y'all,
In my opinion the first day of school is the most exciting but nerve-racking time of the whole year. And while the nerves allow me to kick start the year well there are a few things that I do to keep myself from using the adrenaline instead of it making me spiral.
Obviously with all my travel it made it hard to shop in my hometown so I made it a big thing this year for me to online shop so as I saw things I liked on instagram and on people I would note them with the links and I finally ordered some of it and it came in time for me to come home and unbox it.
The next MUST for me for back to school is to get my nails done. While this may seem superficial it kinda help you to walk into school feeling confident and if you don't feel confident fake it till you make it.
I also will take all my old files and clean them off my computer as well as download all apps and log back in. Which this step is quite sad because you are free of all notifications and then the apps have to get re dowloaded and the emails and everything start to flood back in. but it helps you get back into the school mindset.
A few weeks before I try to take all the ideas floating around in my brain and make a to do and to buy list to allow me to have a clear mind to go into the school year with no loose threads.
I also attempt to make the mornings walking back into school as easy as possible by meal prepping lunches and making a grocery list far in advance.
I also keep in mind when I shop what outfits will be suitable for the first week so when I go to pull outfits out it is not a shock.
But I always do have to keep in mind that is it just school and overall it is not that big of a deal if things don't go amazing at first because if I keep trying I know all will work out and it will be a heart year overall.
